Does F.E.A.R Provoke Your Public Speaking?

Does this sound familiar to you?

F.E.A.R of Failure.

F.E.A.R of Public Speaking.

F.E.A.R of Judgement.

F.E.A.R of Embarrassment.

F.E.A.R of Stuttering…

And the list goes on.

So which one is your biggest fear?

And why do you think you have it?

It was difficult to call out my fears and battle it…

Because anxiety overruled my ability to speak…

Which triggered my fear of judgment.

Each time that I would speak in front of someone…

My first thought would be…

“When I stammer, what would this person think of me?”

Because my s-s-stutter would control my sentences and I couldn’t get a single word out.

It felt like my mind was in the battleground of World War 2 each time that I spoke.

I couldn’t deal with this frustration on a daily basis anymore.

So I was destined to figure out why my mind felt this way.

So what did I do first?

I gained a clear understanding of what F.E.A.R actually is.

It breaks down to…

In other words, F.E.A.R is a concept that you make up in your mind that forces you to stay trapped in your bubble.

For example…

When you begin to overthink a public speaking situation, your mind is telling you what the outcome will be ( like you might stutter, get judged, etc)…

But in reality, we both know that we can’t predict the future.

So when I clicked these pieces together…

This was the start-up engine to overcoming my F.E.A.R of public speaking.

To fast forward today…

I’ve spoken on stage in front of 1000s of people…

I’ve coached 100s of professionals on communication & confidence…

And I’ve even helped others who stutter, overcome THEIR stuttering.

Breaking your public speaking fear might seem like a roller coaster ride at the moment but once you do it…
