I have always dreamed of crafting and creating an impact on this world. By serving others so they’ll be able to transform into the version that they are destined to be. As soon as I took the leap of faith, I knew that one day my dream would shift into a reality.
About 3 years ago, I made a decision that could’ve cost me the rest of my life. When I decided to make this decision, everybody in the office was utterly baffled.
“Daniel, I’ll be right here… at this very spot when you’re crawling back in this office.”
“Are you insane? You’re making so much money”
“You’re not going to last no more than a week… I’ll see you soon”
That was what all my colleagues told me when I decided to quit my career as a sales director for a multi-million dollar company. Although I was making 250K/year, had the car of my dreams, and had a beautiful home with my girlfriend, I realized that my destiny is much greater than my sales career.
So I decided to start back from the ground and build my way up the ladder. Even though I had an idea to serve others by teaching them public speaking, I wasn’t clear on how I was going to do it.
My mind was ignited with thoughts of giving up and fearful of what the future may hold.
But a mentor of mine told me this, “Daniel focus on the reason why you’re doing it and the how will follow.”
Once this quote clicked into my mind, I decided to build a coaching business to enhance those that want to learn the power of public speaking, close more sales, and speak with absolute authority in work meetings and in presentations.
After months of grinding in the trenches, my life has completely enhanced for the better. I’ve been able to grow a multi 6-figure business, fulfill and seize happiness in all aspects of my life, meet and serve others, and create the impact that I’ve always desired.
When you decide to take a risk in your life, it may feel overwhelming and it may even feel like you aren’t going the right path.
Sometimes it may feel like you want to give up and take the easy way out.
But the easy way out doesn’t grow you into the version that you want to excel into. Your comfort zone doesn’t allow you to transform and create the impact that you’ve desired to have.
By taking risks, you are propelling and creating momentum to enhance your future and destiny.
The moment you decide to expand and do something that makes you feel uncomfortable in life, that means you are on the right path. Sometimes that can be talking in your next work meeting, closing the next sale, speaking to someone new, or learning a new skill.
Regardless of what it is, taking a risk will force you into the person that you want to be.
The next time you are hesitant in a situation, I suggest you do it and take the risk because that one risk can alter greater opportunities for your future which will allow you to create the impact that you desire.
I’ve actually made an episode on my podcast about the importance of feeling uncomfortable and the impact that it’ll have on your life. You can listen to it right here.
